The Cirrus is a bold design leaving behind the classic image of a ceiling fan as a hanging motor with blades. Instead the design features a vertical orientation more appropriate to contemporary architecture. Amongst its innovations is the column like support, this larger scale down rod gives the fan a feeling of attachment to the architectural space and virtually eliminates the wobble so often seen in conventional fans.

The Cirrus rotor ends the problems of balance and tedious assembly required with the classic blade iron configuration.

The Cirrus is all die-cast and extruded aluminum and offered in a gloss white and hand brushed aluminum finish. The balanced blades are either injection molded acrylic in a innovative curved shape or standard plywood laminate.

The motor is a high power silicon steel unit with 18 poles, designed for long life and cool running and is controlled by two capacitors. The Cirrus motor can run at any of three speeds set by the control. The Modern Fan Company offers several switching and control options for both speed and light control. Please see the controls section. All Modern Fan Co. products carry a damp location UL/CUL listing.

The Cirrus is available in several standard, as well as custom lengths and with a 42", 50" or 52" blade span.
